I have posted this on the Nexus forums, and I have yet to get a reply or thread view after several hours. I'm desperate for help.
Please read the whole post I'll copy/paste. My initial concern was that my save files would be corrupt, but I'm not so sure about that now. Things have been running with no problems (other than some audio issues) after there initially being two CTDs. Now I'm having those audio issues I mentioned, which only started happening after deleting about 200 saves in Skyrim.
Below is the post I wrote. (It includes the original post, and the edit I added in at the bottom. The edit is important to read, as is the text before it so that readers can get a fuller picture of things)I deleted many saves. I did it from the load menu. I hit x and then enter for the ones I wanted to delete.

I did it kind of fast, but I didn't do it as fast as I could so that the computer could keep up with my commands. I still did it quickly as I deleted around 200 saves. As soon as I did this, I loaded my most recent save.
The game went to the loading screen, and then the screen transitioned to where I was (a general goods store), and it showed this place I was for not even a second before a CTD happened. I went back into the game and loaded the same save and it loaded up just fine. However, my speakers (USB enabled and powered compact speaker unit) now have an annoying buzzing sound. It isn't too loud, but it wasn't there before.I loaded another save a little earlier, in a Dwemer ruin, and I couldn't pick up a buzzing sound. I reloaded the most recent save again, and a CTD happened very quickly like the first time.
I reloaded the most recent save again and things appeared normal. I quit the game, turned off the speakers, and plugged in my headphones and reloaded my save in the Dwemer ruin. The sound is fine with headphones. No annoying buzzing. I picked up the game from the Dwemer ruin and made my way to Solitude, where my most recent save was, and made up the little lost ground I had.
The game seems stable and fine, and headphones have no annoying buzzing sound. I loaded my new most recent save with the speakers on, and the annoying buzzing sound is there. So what I'm concerned about, well, the buzzing sound on speakers is annoying. A bigger concern is this: Do I have to worry about my save data being corrupt now? I thought I deleted saves just like I was supposed to, but now I'm worried I didn't and that I set myself up for problems. I use SKSE so certain SKSE files are in my save folder. I thought I deleted saves like I'm supposed to. Is there anything I can do?
Keep in mind that I had two CTDs with a most recent save in Solitude, but went to an earlier save in a Dwemer ruin, recovered lost ground, and made my way back to Solitude and will pick up from there. I'm not gonna use the save in Solitude that had the CTDs.(Material from original post on Nexus forums that is not needed for this thread omitted to shorten post)Edit: I'm starting to think I have no corrupt saves, but my audio is still wonky. I had my good save which had no buzzing sound when using headphones and with that game progress saved it over the save that had two CTDs, and now there is a minor buzzing sound with headphones on any save loaded and there is a minor buzzing when I open doors into new areas. If I go to playback devices, I see five things listed as 'Digital Display Audio - AMD High Definition Audio Device - Not Plugged In'. I've never seen this in the past (at least, I don't recall ever seeing it).Should I use a restore point from System restore? Maybe whatever I did with Skyrim and save files ended up botching something with my audio drivers. Would it hurt to try a system restore?
Should I try reinstalling audio drivers? Before I do any of that, maybe I should try some other PC games and see how the audio is. Maybe I have to reinstall Skyrim (I did the verify integrity of game cache function). I don't know, but hopefully someone here can help me out.
Hey man, im sorry that i cant answer your question. But I have a similar issue, if you go check the other thread within the gaming forum for skyrim, u can see what my issue is. If I find a solution to mine, I'll post the solution here so that you can see if it applies. I think it is a bit similar to yours, but i think you should post your dxdiag info as well.Hi. Could I get a link to the thread you posted in? What is the nature of your problem? Does it involve deleting saves? How can I find a dxdiag?
I'd post it if I knew how to find it.Thanks for replying and good luck to both of us, haha.
My personal tool, i share it here, if you can have use for it.Always create a backup for you save, before using this!Need a editor, that supports new string count format by?In case that you antivirus doesn't like a file:It seems like antiviruses often gives a false alarms for files written on certain tools/programming languages, and that seems to happen for this tool. So, it's possible, that your antivirus program goes mad, when you downloaded this. This program is created using, so source is included in.exe file.
Available in misc files too.Be free to edit it as you wish. How to use it?1. Click open, choose a save game file.2. Click 'FixScriptInstances', it removes all orphan script instances.3. This is optional, and not compatible with all mods.Click a Delete all #4.
Push save or save as button. Make sure you have backups for both savename.ess and savename.skse (if its installed).Load a save in the game, and save it again.

Now it should be fully cleaned.Re-saving removes script names etc.Auto backup, if on,(default) creates a backup from your save, named as backup-date-time.ess and backup-date-time.skse.In versions 2.00My GamesSkyrimSaves. Be very careful here notdelete game saves that you actually still want to load or use! I wouldleave yourself about 5 to 10 recent game saves just in case one becomescorrupt or something.
You never know! An easy way to do this is toorganize the folder by date where the most recent date is at the top ofthe screen. These are your most recent game saves so DO NOT DELETETHESE! Or, you will lose your most recent progress in your game!3) I started up Skyrim and loaded up the game save that I edited with thisSkyrim utility. Once in game open the console by pressing and type:player.kill followed by the ' Enter ' key. Then, close the console bypressing again. This will instantly kill your player!
But, justwait a little bit and you will be reincarnated! Now, upon beingreincarnated, you can save your game again! I guess whenyou died you were able to talk to the save game Gods?4) Save your game if you have not already done so. You should now be good to go! Problem solved!5) For those still having issues, try getting rid of some of the stuff inyour player's inventory so that your carry weight is not too high. Ihave heard that having too high of a carry weight can also cause yourgame to CTD when saving!
However, this issue is rare. But, be mindful ofthis if you are still having issues. Getting rid of some of the stuffthat you are carrying in your player's inventory might be something totry. However, I have personally not experienced any issues with thisparticular carry weight problem even when I was way way over my player'scarry limit creeping out of a really creepy dungeon!
So, if you arestill having issues, once you have followed steps 1-3 try removing somestuff from your player's inventory until your carry weight is good andthen try saving AKA step 4 from above ^. Hopefully, this works for younow!- awjnash - Another thing you can try, if saving a game crashes, is to click a 'del. Broken actives' button after you cleaned orphan scripts.
